Can a CT scan tell if a tumor is benign?

I am a 51 year old male. I want to know if a CT scan can tell if a tumor is benign?

This question is difficult to answer without knowing the specifics. However, there are certainly tumors that can be definitively determined to be benign based on their CT findings while others are indeterminate based.
No . Only biopsy with tissue diagnosis.
Thank you for submitting your question.

Certain tumors have characteristic features on images studies such as a CT scan (frequently performed with IV contrast dye) that may help to differentiate between benign versus malignant disease. However, to establish a definitive diagnosis, pathological sampling is usually obtained by performing a biopsy of the tumor.

It would nice to know where the tumor is located. For brain tumor, although a CT scan can point to features of b lower grade tumor/benign, more investigation with MRI imaging is warranted. Ideally, that information should be completed with strong consideration to obtain a pathological diagnosis via biopsy or surgery.
