Can a child's tonsil infection be fixed without medications?

My daughter has a tonsil infection. Can a child's tonsil infection be fixed without medications?

Tonsillitis is an inflammation of the tonsils and can be either viral or bacterial. If it is a viral infection, it is generally self-limiting and will resolve on its own in 2 to 3 days and discomfort can be managed with over-the-counter medications (such as Childrens liquid or chewable Tylenol as instructed by your childs pediatrician and drinking lots of fluids (water, sugar free popsicles, etc). If the symptoms do not improve by the 4th day, or if your childs symptoms significantly worsen despite over-the-counter measures, you should have your child re-evaluated by your pediatrician. I hope this information is helpful and that your daughters illness resolves quickly.
