Hello there. Porcelain crowns are milled from a porcelain block, then painted to apply color or selected shade, then set on special oven to cure or provide strength and durability. When these crowns fracture there is no way to fix them back, you will need a new one. If your doctor does guarantee it for certain amount of time, you might be lucky and get it for free.
god bless you!!!!
Hello!Typically not repaired. Depends on the damage, if it's minor maybe it can be smoothed out. Typically the porcelain material does not allow anything to be added to it after its been created. Thanks,Amy
Damage to a crown is usually not fixable without redoing the crown.
Thank you for considering me and my clinic for your dental crown emergency. Most permanent crown materials cannot be fixed for a lasting outcome, and the cost of trying to repair them may be higher than the cost of replacing them. Moreover, when a crown breaks, it usually indicates that some adjustments or additional tests are required to determine the cause of the breakage and how to prevent it from happening again. Please call our office at your convenience, and we will discuss all the details and options with you.
