Thank you for your question. In some cases, a massage using myofacial release, can help with your hip.  Another cases, a modality known as a Traeger is more effective, and could be a combination of modalities. You need to be seen by bodyworker who is also trained in Traeger to discuss further. Thank you,  Dahana
Unless you had a serious trauma and/or are over 50 years old, yes. Otherwise get an xray first.

Most definitely if the pain is related to muscular, or fascial injury. I would recommend a deep tissue massage as the most effective. Many joint-related pain generators may not be improved by massage and if you have one of those as evidenced by the massage, not helping, I would see a physician.
Yes particularly by a licensed massage therapist If it doesn't respond then seek medical evaluation Jack Jensen MD FACSM Athletic Orthopedics & Knee Center AOK Urgent Orthocare 9180 Katy Fwy. Houston Texas 77055 713-984-1400 713-984-1400. AOKC.net Houston, Texas 77055 714-984-1400
Probably not permanently, it might loosen muscles, 5 days of pain in ur hip is most likely a disc problem, causing referred pain to ur hip.
Thanks for the question. The hip pain needs to be properly diagnosed before treatment can be determined. Jay H Schwartz, DC, DIBCN, DIBE
