Can a root canal cause swollen gums?

I have swollen gums after a root canal procedure. Can a root canal cause swollen gums?

In most cases the swelling is cuased by an infection please see your dentist to have the area followed up
Yes. Usually minor lasting 1 or 2 days. If LARGE swelling or pain, speak to your dentist or endodontist!
