I have a throat infection. Can a throat infection be fixed with antibiotics?

You should visit your practitioner to assess if its a throat infection, or another medical condition. There are different types of infections: bacterial/viral and fungal. They may need to swab your throat to see if you have Strep or some other type of infection. Antibiotics do treat throat infections, but it depends on what type of organism, for the most appropriate treatment used, to ensure it is cured and the antibiotic used is not for a condition that is not an infection.
