Can astigmatism come back after Lasik?

I will have LASIK surgery for astigmatism. Can astigmatism come back after Lasik?

Usually it should be largely removed or corrected . However your cornea is a living tissue and can remodel after surgery and may remember its old shape and partially revert to it again
Although laser vision correction is permanent, some astigmatism may come back. This can be treated with additional laser treatment. Here is the link to an article I was quoted in: https://www.forbes.com/health/eye-health/lasik-for-astigmatism/
Yes it may - usually partially.
