Internist Questions Bronchitis

Can bronchitis be cured?

I am suffering from bronchitis and I am undergoing treatment. Is there a permanent treatment for bronchitis? Or is treatment just symptom-based?

There is no permanent treatment for bronchitis---> unless you have an underlying lung condition such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease which can make you more prone to bronchitis - those conditions do have various levels of treatments to help control them
Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchial tubes. Usually, it resolves with just symptomatic treatment. If it is associated with fever, wheezing, or cough, then antibiotics will be helpful. Also, a tapering dose of steroids.
