Can cervicitis be caused by something other than STI?

I had a colposcopy performed on 2/15 and just received my results, but my doctor has not called to discuss and they are closed until Tuesday. Results included mention of inflammation of the cervix and mucus/blood with an ICD-10 code of N72.0 (cervicitis). I have had the same sexual partner for 2 years with no signs/symptoms/or concerns related to STIs. Should I be concerned about STIs, or are there other ways to develop cervicitis? Should I get tested?

Absolutely- inflammation doesn't equate with infection. There are lots of things that cause inflammation, from yeast, to changes in hormonal balance and changes in pH. It doesn't sound like you need to be worried; of course communicating with your partner is always recommended if you have any concern.
