Yes, gum recession can be slowed down but not reversed naturally. Maintaining good oral hygiene, using a soft-bristle toothbrush, and visiting a dentist for professional cleaning can help. In severe cases, treatments like gum graft surgery or the pinhole surgical technique can restore lost gum tissue.
ONLY SURGICALLY: YOU NEED TO ADD TISSUE IN THE AREA WITH ATRANSPLANT (GUM SURGERY)

Yes! Go see a dentist immediately to get their clinical opinion. At home recommendations would be to: - brush 2x daily for 2 minutes with an electric toothbrush - brush GENTLY How to brush gently: a. hold brush with index finger and thumb ONLY Why brushing GENTLY is important? a. one of the major causes of gum recession is due to aggressive brushing; therefore, brush gently to allow the gum to heal. b. Consider buying a toothbrush with a pressure sensor to indicate when you are brushing aggressively - floss & use a tongue scraper GENTLY & daily - reduce consumption of sugary foods & sodas Why? a. because bacteria feed on sugar and produce acidic byproducts which allows for a favorable environment for more bacteria to grow/reproduce in the mouth. b. This increase in bacteria can cause problems over time such as cavities, gum disease, bone loss, bad breathe, & more.
