I was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat. Is it serious? Can irregular heartbeat go back to normal?

The answer is yes. It depends on what “irregular heartbeat” really means. If you are having occasional premature atrial or ventricular heartbeats then there is probably no problem but if you are having something like atrial fibrillation then it is more serious and you should be on medication for it. The exact diagnosis of your “irregular heartbeat” should be determined and you should be advised accordingly
