Can nasal polyps be removed under local anesthetic?

I want to remove nasal polyps. I wonder if nasal polyps can be removed under a local anesthetic?

It is preferred to have monitored anesthesia care or twilight anesthesia since the nose is richly supplied by lots of nerves and it May be painful to work in this area only under local anesthesia which may not suffice!
I wouldn’t recommend it. Most polyps are deep into the nasal cavity/sinuses and can bleed a fair amount. It’s not the removing as much as getting to them and dealing with bleeding. We do these cases with general anesthesia and a full breathing tube to protect the airway.
That’s a better question for your surgeon.
