Naturopathic Physician Questions Massage Therapy

Can naturopathic massages aid in treating depression?

I am suffering from depression. Do you think naturopathic massages can help in treating my condition?

Massage has been shown to be helpful for depression. Naturopathic medicine has a lot of different treatments available for depression, but one does not need to be a Naturopathic doctor to provide massage. Licensed massage therapists can do that!
Thank you for your inquiry. Not all depression is the same. While this can
help, I would look for the root cause and treat that. Other useful
interventions I found effective include acupuncture, clinical nutrition,
botanical medicine, and hormone replacement therapy.

Massage has been shown to improve depression as well as aid in a calmer mind.
Yes. Mind, body, spirit with breathing meditation techniques: breathe in, hold your breath, count 8 seconds, then breath out slow, counting 8 seconds.
Massage, although not considered superior to medical treatments has shown some important improvements, simply due to a generalized relaxation response… massage is considered one of the most popular complementary\alternative medical treatments for anxiety and depression.
