Hi,

In an indirect way, stress can cause a heart attack. It causes cortisol and other stress hormones to release into your blood-stream which increases your blood pressure and heart rate, is pro-inflammatory and causes insulin resistance. It also decreases your immune system.

Possible especially having preexisting coronary disease.
