That depends on which area of the brain had the stroke, how extensive the area affected and if the patient was seen early on presentation and treated on a reasonable timing. Many patients who get stroke and present early to the hospital would recover some 100%.
This is a very difficult question. It depends on where the stroke was in the brain and how extensive the stroke was. There are stroke patients that have walked again and I would recommend amazing physical therapists to help along the way! Good luck.
Yes a stroke patient can walk again but depends on the size of the stroke, the area of the brain affected, access to rehab and physical therapy facilities and persistence.
Depending on the severity of the stroke and the part of the brain it affected, in addition to any resulting paralysis or weakness will determine your ability to walk. You should consult a Neurologist and a Physical Therapist to evaluate you and assess your strength/coordination and functional mobility and determine your safety level and possible needs for medical equipment such as a walker or cane. They can also help you develop a home exercise plan to get you stronger and meet your goals.
