Can you be put under anesthesia for laser eye surgery?

I will have laser eye surgery. I am nervous. Can you be put under anesthesia for laser eye surgery?

It is done in the doctor's office and usually it is done without any anesthesia doctors present. So patients are not put to sleep for laser eye procedures.Sent from my Galaxy
This is not necessary and those centers do not use anesthesia services.
Usually local anesthetic not general anesthesia
It depends on the type of laser eye surgery as to what anesthetic, sedation vs general you will need. There may be some variation depending on the provider as well. The longer the procedure, the more likely you will need a general anesthetic.
