I have rheumatoid arthritis and it hurts bad. Can you go to the ER for rheumatoid arthritis pain?

Yes is the short answer. The emergency department is for any and all emergencies that cannot be provided for or cared for at home also, for those where your provider is asked you to see someone who might be able to assist to diagnose if that is the cause of the pain or is there something else resulting in it.
