Can you have LASIK with a thin retina?

I want to have LASIK, but I have a thin retina. Can you have LASIK with a thin retina?

Hello, Im assuming that you mean a thin cornea, as that is the location where the surgery takes place? Usually the answer would be no? But it really depends on your prescription, and just how thin your cornea is. This would be a question for the surgeon. It depends on how thin your retina is If it's under 500 microns then PRK may be a safe alternative if your prescription isn't too high. If it's over 500 microns then you need to have a very low prescription.
