“Can you wash your face after a rhinoplasty?”
I wonder if I can wash my face a few days after surgery. Can you wash your face after a rhinoplasty?

Of course, you can. If you have a cast on your nose, just wash around the cast gently with Q-tips and wash towel.
With an external splint over the nose, you cannot shower, but you can sponge-bathe your face. A dry shampoo option is considered but not a regular shampoo. Once the external splint comes off you can shower as normal which is usually 5 to 7 days post-up.
First off: check with your surgeon. If you have an external nasal splint in place, your surgeon may not want it to get wet, as it can potentially fall off. If you have the 'ok' to wash your face, take great care NOT to scrub your incision (you may have one along the columella or that stretch of skin between your nasal tip and upper lip). You also do NOT want to be applying any pressure to your nose as it is healing from the rhinoplasty. I hope this advice helps!
