You can certainly wear a retainer with veneers, but if the veneers are new, you will need a new retainer made in order for it to fit appropriately.
If it's a removable retainer with wires that go over the front teeth, it could be a problem. If it's an Invisalign-type that snaps over the teeth, you should be OK. In any case, please contact your orthodontist or general dentist (whoever made the retainer) and advise them about your veneer plans.

I'm assuming you're referring to a retainer that's bonded to the insides of your teeth. And veneers that are bonded to the outsides of your teeth. Then, yes. And if it's a removable retainer, also, yes.
Yes. It will also serve to protect the veneers if you grind your teeth at night.
