Cannabis and Metformin Interaction?

I would like to know if there are any adverse effects of using the two substances mentioned in the subject line. I get severe fatigue in my legs when mixing the two.

More and more people are now talking about the benefits of Cannabis in diabetes, particularly its role in diet control. Metformin is a medicine used mainly for the management of diabetes. Both Cannabis and Metformin inhibit a liver enzyme C4P3AY. One drug can lead to decreased metabolism of the other drug, raising its level above the desired range, which can lead to drug toxicity. No studies have addressed the issue of these two drugs being taken together. If you have to take cannabis for some other medical condition, it is best to do so under the supervision of your primary care physician.
If it's recreational cannabis then discontinue and start medical cannabis. This is a side effect of Metformin as well. You may need to decrease the dose of Metformin. This could be drug-drug interaction as well.
Hello,

Metformin itself does not have side effects like leg fatigue or weakness. Cannabis itself may potentially cause dilatation of peripheral vessels including low extremities. Under such circumstances, if you have peripheral arterial disease in your legs, you may experience a sensation of leg fatigue or weakness after exposure to cannabis products. My advice: discuss with your doctor if you need testing for peripheral arterial disease.
