Chest and stomach pains?

I have been experiencing chest pains in the middle but slightly to the left along with upper abdominal pain. Both these pains are sharp, sudden, stabbing pains. As well as the pain I have been feeling dizzy and yesterday I fainted 4 times as well as throwing up once. Today, I tried to go to the shop and my legs felt really weak the whole time and I felt as if I was going to pass out several times so I had to sit down on the floor many times on the way there. I went to see my doctor about this three days ago and she told me I have gastritis and prescribed me Omeprazole capsules, but since then I have been feeling worse. Is this normal for gastritis or should I go back and see the doctor again?

This is probably not gastritis, a throw-away diagnosis that is often given without any evidence for it. If there is no improvement with omeprazole then this means it is not acid related either. There is more going on than a GI condition. See a good and thorough PCP.
