Constipation and sciatica?

I am a 33 year old male and have been dealing with constipation for the last 3-4 weeks. I typically have a movement once every 3 days or so. There also seems to be some bloating, particularly below my belly button. I have tried fiber pill supplements and milk of magnesia pills (although milk of magnesia has only been tried once so far). Neither seemed to make a change. I’m not sure if it’s related, but I have also been dealing with sciatica for 3-4 months now. I have been seeing a chiropractor for most of that time, but sciatica won’t go away. It is the worst at night when laying down, and is occasionally accompanied by stomach pain. The stomach pain goes away after getting out of bed for the day and I’ve never noticed it any other time. I don’t have insurance and was hoping to get an idea of what’s going on before going to a doctor's office or some type of urgent care.

There is no direct link between sciatica and constipation since the GI tract neurologically functions independently from the axial skeletal nervous system.
An indirect relationship may result from using narcotic pain pills to treat sciatica with resultant slowing of the GI tract. Being more sedentary from sciatica might also slow down the intestinal motility leading to constipation.
