Yes, extreme mood swings can be a sign of bipolar disorder. It`s managed with mood stabilizers (like lithium), antipsychotic medications, and therapy. Consult a doctor for proper diagnosis.

There are many reasons for people to have mood swings. I suggest seeing by a psychologist for an evaluation.
Extreme mood swings such as the ones you describe in your question may be indicative of a bipolar mood disorder. It is important to download a mood-tracking app in order to keep track of your mood for some period of time and to review it with your therapist. It is very important to let your therapist and/or any prescribing professional to know your family history. If you have a history of bipolar disorder in your family, you may be more likely to have it as well, particularly when the mood swings occur over time.
Could be. Best safest when properly prescribed is Lamictal and lithium next/
Due to the symptoms presented with I would recommend scheduling an appointment with a psychiatrist to rule out the diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar Disorder is usually treated with medication and I highly recommend participating in individual therapy to learn about ways to cope and manage the symptoms.
Hello, Great question! Without having more information, I can't speculate whether or not it is or is not bipolar disorder; however, bipolar disorder can include some of the symptoms you mentioned. Typically, bipolar is best treated through the use of medication and individual therapy. I would encourage you to reach out to your PCP to discuss your concerns and from there ask for a referral to a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Bipolar disorder is characterized by two poles in the mood. A depression pole and a mania pole. A lot of people swing between the two poles. A detailed evaluation with a psychiatrist is the best way to go forward to get a proper diagnosis and make a treatment plan.
