“Creatine levels and gfr”
My current creatine level is 1.66 and gfr is 44.I Have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure,both under control through my primary doctor.in 2020 I had Hodgkin's lymphoma,now in remission.when I started chemo in April 2020 my gfr was 65 and creatine 1.15. Now over the last three years gfr ranges between 50 and 42.did the chemo drugs do this and what can I do to improve my numbers.I am a 70 year old male.thank you.

Thank you for the question. Kidney function can be compromised in a number of ways including from chemo drugs or direct effect of the tumor to the kidney. Different drugs cause different problems. Seems like your creatinine has stabilized, which is good, however you still should see an nephrologist for in depth evaluation.
