Your arm hurting after popping a sebaceous cyst could be due to inflammation, irritation, or infection. Since the sac is out, the area is likely raw and healing, but pain when moving your arm is not always normal.

What You Should Do:
Keep the area clean by washing with mild soap and water.
Apply an antibiotic ointment to prevent infection.
Avoid touching or rubbing the area.
Watch for signs of infection (redness, swelling, pus, or worsening pain).
If the pain gets worse, the area swells, or you see pus, see a doctor to prevent infection.

For the short term it could be normal from squeezing it out. The worse case scenario is getting a secondary skin infection called cellulitis which can be painful. If it doesn’t get better, go see your doctor
Hello there! I recommend see a physician that can look at the area and make sure it is not infected!

No it is not normal. You should follow-up with a physician to make sure the pain is not due to infection.
