Do I have diabetes?

I have felt inches, pins, tingling, and lately numbness in the feet, arms, fingers, and upper leg for over 10 years but I've never been hospitalized. I have taken tests once every year with negative results for diabetes. Could this be signs of fully blown diabetes or something else?

Numbness and tingling are nonspecific symptoms that can signal a pinched nerve, a neurological disorder such as multiple sclerosis, neuropathy from diabetes, or neuropathy from b12 deficiency or from some other cause.  You can have your primary care doc do a glucose tolerance test (Where you drink 75 g of glucose and then have your sugar checked at baseline, 30, 60 and 90 minutes later), and as long as that is normal, you should see a neurologist.
