I got an implant 3 years ago. Do I have to replace an implant?

Hello! It would depend on the need for the replacement. If you are having sensitivity or pain then you should go in to be evaluated. If implants are taken care of they can last a lifetime!Thanks,Dr. Amy

As long as the implant has achieved the correct "osseointegration" (meaning that has attached to the bone sufficiently) then you don't have to replace the implant. Hope that helps.
