I’ve seen them go away only with root canal therapy or surgery, but I’ve also seen them continuously expand without.
Dental cysts usually do not go away unless the cause is addressed. Depending on the size and type it might need further treatment. Please discuss with your Dentist.
I would highly recommend visiting your regular dentist to refer you out to an oral surgeon to determine the appropriate course of actions for the dental cyst .
They may subside from an acute phase, but the infection remains because the source of the infection remains. Oral infection untreated can infect the brain or trigger cardiovascular attacks like heart attack or stroke. Please, consider a dental abscess a true emergency and see a skilled dentist.
I have never seen them just clear up and go away. I'd suggest asking an oral surgeon or an oral pathologist.
Generally not. If there are no symptoms then it should be followed by your dentist with x-rays.
Dental cysts do not go away on their own. They tend to get bigger in size over time. However, the rate at which they grow usually depends on the nature of the cyst.

A cyst is a fluid-filled lesion lined by epithelium, it will not resolve on its own. Some cysts can be dangerous, your dentist will tell you if yours needs to be removed/biopsied.
Only if they do not get infected or develop an abscess. They usually go away on their own or remain in a harmless state.
Unfortunately, no. This needs treatment with the oral surgeon and should not be delayed. Over time, dental cysts can change and become cancerous, so they require immediate treatment.
