Without knowing the technique which may be employed, it is hard to determine. If the biopsy will be done via bronchoscope, you might have sedation or general anesthesia. If you are going to have an open or transthoracic biopsy, you are very likely going to have a general anesthetic. If you have any concerns about the procedure, consult your surgeon and your anesthesia care team before the procedure. Your general state of health and any pre-existing conditions may also affect your anesthesia care plan. Good luck!
