“Do you need a surgery for hiatal hernia?”
I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. Do you need a surgery for hiatal hernia?

The hiatal hernia will never go away without surgery. Typical symptoms include bloating, nausea, heartburn (acid reflux), and regurgitation. The symptoms can be controlled with medication, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes. However, they do not treat the cause (the hernia itself). Symptoms typically get worse over time.
