I have a dental cyst. What should I do? Does a dental cyst have to be removed?

Best to have it evaluated to avoid it causing damage to your teeth and other structures. They can grow over time.
Yes, and/or treat the tooth, if source of infection-recommended to see a
dentist for diagnosis and treatment planning as needed.

Hello, there is actually more than one kind of dental cyst, and it *is*
hard for me to answer your question without the context of an exam and
X-rays. However, the most likely answer would be yes. Though most things
classified as dental cysts are benign, they can still grow and cause
problems with any adjacent teeth.
Some cysts may be aggressive others benign so it’s is
critical to have it looked at and assessed.
