It can increase your immune system so yes your allergies would be less
To treat any allergic reaction is to improve your immunity. The evidence of good immunity can be determined by your quality of sleep, digestion, bowel movement, urination, and private function. We will exam 1st. Depending on Dx, we will provide different treatment plans for each individual's.
People are so used to Western medicine that they think differently than we do in Traditional Chinese Medicine. To answer your question: it depends on the cause.
Many food allergies are caused by a poor diet and a leaky gut. When people change their diet and have acupuncture and herb support with the change, eventually most of the allergies caused by this problem will go away. If the allergies have been then since birth then again it depends on the cause but typically no. There are many reasons why people have allergies and even illnesses. Sometimes it is emotional, sometimes it is our thinking or thoughts, and even at times there is a spiritual connection (mind-body-spirit). Acupuncturists explore all of these possibilities when considering the treatment protocol.
Acupuncture and TCM herbs can not only help to relieve allergy symptoms, but help to strengthen the body's immune defenses, so that it is less vulnerable to allergens in the environment.
Acupuncture and herbs can help relieve your food allergies gradually.
I am not an acupuncturist so I do not know.
Yes.
there is a treatment call NAET that can help with food allergies. Food allergies are complex and take many treatments and herbal compliance to treat. But I defiantly recommend booking a session with your preferred practitioner to get help
It can improve your symptoms but hardly to cure.

Look for a practitioner that practices the NAET techniques.
I would have to say, no, BUT with a "it depends." If you have celiac disease, then absolutely no.
There is a protocol for acupuncture for allergies called NAET , but I don't know if it's for food allergies, it's very expensive, it takes many treatments, and it doesn't always last. Otherwise, I'm afraid I'm not aware of any treatments. You might, however, check with your local acupuncturist to see if they have found any protocols that help.
Yes, acupuncture does cure food allergies.
The word 'cure' takes on a very specific meaning in a medical context. No treatment can claim to 'cure' any condition unless the FDA says it can. Since the FDA doesn't evaluate acupuncture, we can make no claims around 'curing' anything.

Let's shift the language a little bit: can acupuncture help improve food allergies?

The answer is going to depend greatly on how severe a food allergy we're talking about in this case. Since you didn't indicate severity, I have no way of knowing whether or not acupuncture might help.

For a mild allergy, it's possible that a combination of minimizing the food item and using acupuncture to down regulate the immune system might ultimately bring you to a place where the food item irritates your system less than it does now.

If we're talking about an anaphylactic type reaction where your life is endangered by the food item, then acupuncture is going to be of less benefit.
