Acupuncture with herbs (sometimes King herbs) can help you out gradually with your type 2 diabetes and lower your high blood sugar.
Yes I have seen acupuncture support reducing blood sugar.
But it is multifaceted and should be approached as such: lifestyle, sleep, purposeful activity, reducing inflammation- all these are huge contributors as well.

I know of no studies looking at the effects of acupuncture on glucose control. There may be some benefits with painful diabetic neuropathy but this benefit is not long-lasting.
No. As one type of multifactorial intervention, acupuncture could be recommended as a supplementary treatment in the management of T2DM, especially in those with obesity or metabolic disorders. However, due to the small sample size, poor methodological quality of trials reviewed, the amount of evidence is not fully convincing. There is a need for well-planned, long-term studies.
Lifestyle modification along with acupuncture may help you to improve your symptoms.
Good luck

Yes, Acupuncture can help to regulate blood sugar but you should be aware that the treatment will lower your blood sugar a lot, so it is important to eat a protein rich meal and hydrate beforehand to stabilize it.
Acupuncture has a way of balancing the body's systems, so it can help with balancing blood sugar, but you will also have to combine it with the other two legs of Oriental Medicine, namely diet and herbs, and exercise.
Yes, acupuncture does help with high blood sugar.
I don't know. I am not trained in acupuncture. I have seen many success stories with my patients of diabetes becoming controlled with lifestyle modifications and simple supplementations.
We have several studies showing acupuncture exerting a regulatory effect on blood sugar and insulin levels. In my experience, that effect can easily be undone by poor food choices or poor eating habits. In other words - acupuncture rarely overcomes dietary issues all by itself, you need to change your diet/eating habits if you plan to get a handle on type 2 diabetes.
