I don’t have a lot of personal experience with acupuncture because that is not something we are trained in or taught about in residency. I have had several patients try acupuncture and it can help with pain relief. The pain relief is usually temporary. It is important to understand that it doesn’t make the arthritis go away. It certainly shouldn’t make the condition worse. So, I would say try it and see how it helps you and if doesn’t then I would recommend being examined by an orthopedic surgeon.
Absolutely, arthritis is due to a lack of healthy circulation of blood and synovial fluid through the joint, which Acupuncture greatly improves. Arthritis will not be cured though. The pain will be managed with Acupuncture.
Hi, acupuncture works great with knee pain. You need to see a local practitioner, they must treat the knee with points known as "the eyes of the knee" with electric stim for at least 35-45min twice a week in the beginning. Then eventually once a week. Good luck
Everyone is different, but I have successfully reduced people's knee pain with osteoarthritis. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it takes supplements, herbs, and/or dietary changes, as well. Check with a local practitioner and ask if they've had success treating it.
