Does baby rosacea go away?

My baby was diagnosed with rosacea. Will it go away on its own?

1 Answer

A good question and a tough one.=20 Difficult because although rosacea does occur in the pediatric population, It is relatively rare. It most often occurs in adult females. However an important Part of the diagnosis is if there is a positive family for rosacea. This may help Determining the diagnosis. If no positive family history then it would be helpful to Have the diagnosis confirmed by an experienced dermatologist. Also it would be very helpful for dermatology to start any necessary treatment To minimize the effects of the condition. It seems that the natural history of rosacea Is a condition that may continue long term with waxing and waning of the symptoms And the physical effects. Again this should be followed closely by dermatology and any Other specialists that may be needed.
