Does hearing loss cause speech delay?

My daughter was diagnosed with hearing loss. And she has problems with speech. Does hearing loss cause speech delay?

Yes, a hearing loss can result in a speech delay.
It is possible for hearing loss to have a direct impact on speech and language development. I would suggest consulting a speech-language pathologist.
It can, yes. Please find a Speech Pathologist near you who can provide early intervention. You can find a licensed SLP near you at: ASHA.org/profind

Best of luck,

It can. If there is a hearing loss that has been diagnosed by the audiologist, immediately bring that information to a speech language pathologist and begin working an intervention plan based on assessment findings.
