“Does heart failure require a transplant?”
I was diagnosed with heart failure. Does heart failure require a transplant?

There are many different forms of treatment for heart failure including medications and defibrillator. Heart transplantation is usually reserved for end stage heart failure where other options have failed.
Not necessarily. It depends on the nature causing your disease. Traditionally, heart failure syndrome is managed with oral medications. If it advances, you may require hospital-based cardiac support, which may include the administration of intravenous medications. If despite of all these therapies your health deteriorates, you may be a candidate for a mechanical pump (Ventricular assist device) or a heart transplant.
