Does leukemia cause fatigue in children?

My 16 year old daughter has leukemia and she is always so tired. How can I help her?

Yes, they get anemia that needs to be monitored because the red blood cells become low in number. The leukemia and or lymphoma may be at risk for then to present with fatigue, growth delay, thyroid dysfunction, hearing loss and development of secondary cancer. Thank you.
Yes.When her disease responds to treatment. She will feel better.

Fatigue is common with leukemia and most notably with anemia. As counterintuitive as it may seem, maintaining at least a certain level of physical activity every day will help. The more one gives in to fatigue with inactivity, the more easily fatigue can build up.
Your daughter may have Cancer-Related Fatigue (CRF), which is a common problem. There are clinics for CRF at cancer centers, and some report partial improvement. Research as to the cause of CRF is ongoing and hopefully this will lead to better treatment by the end of this year.
Yes, it can, but fatigue is a symptom that goes along with many other things as well.
