Does loose skin go away?

I am a 29 year old female. I have loose skin on my arms after weight loss. Does loose skin go away?

Skin tightening will continue for about 6 months following massive weight loss.
Hello,

Yes, it does. There are several options including arm lift (bracheoplasty) and BodyTite. It all depends on the degree of sagging.
Some of it might improve overtime, provided that you don’t have a great deal of stretch marks, which indicates a loss of skin elasticity. If there is good skin tone or elasticity, much of the skin may retract naturally. In general after a large amount of weight loss, we would like patients to be stable at that weight for 6 to 9 months, prior to any skin tightening procedure.
How much your skin retracts after weight loss depends on many factors including your age. If you have residual laxity, surgery is typically required although some minor tightening may be achieved by non-invasive treatment. Dr. Yuan
Rarely without surgery
Some exercises and skin treatment will tighten the skin, but surgery is usually necessary.
No, loose skin does not go away. It has to be surgically removed. I like to explain it as though you were getting a dress or a suit tailored. In order for the dress or suit to fit perfectly, you have to trim away the excess material. Same thing for skin. I encourage to make an appointment to discuss your options today!

Most likely not. Exercise the arm areas and do not gain weight. Give it time with the application of exercise, etc. If it gets down to having surgery, make sure you go to an experienced plastic surgeon. This may be the case.
