Does nicotine affect dental implants?

I am a 39 year old male. I want to know if nicotine affects dental implants?

Dental implants are typically titanium so are directly affected by very little, however, nicotine has a profound effect on the oral soft tissues (gums). It reduces the blood flow thereby reducing their ability to respond as they normally should. This would affect the gums' ability to heal around the implant and also the blood supply to the underlying bone interfering with its ability to adapt and stay tight against the implant.

It affects everything. Do not smoke.
Not the implant itself. But it can affect the tissue around it as well as all of the tissues in your mouth.
Nicotine should not, but tobacco will. Tobacco will create inflammation around your implants.
