Does physical therapy help muscle strain?

I got muscle strain in my back at work. I want to have physical therapy. Does physical therapy help muscle strain?

Yes, physical therapy could offer specific exercise treatment. PT can also apply heat, ultrasound, or other modalities. Physician consult, x-rays, etc. to rule out a fracture or other more severe causes should be completed prior to PT.
