I am a 34-year-old female. I want to have facial plastic surgery. Does plastic surgery hurt on the face?

The short answer is YES! This is surgery, after all. You cannot expect to have a pain score of zero with ANY surgical intervention. However, DURING your surgery, you will be made comfortable. If done under general anesthesia, you're asleep during the surgery. If done under local anesthesia, with or without sedation, then you are numbed sufficiently that you should not perceive any sharp sensations (you might still feel pressure from instruments pressing on your skin or facial tissues).
