“Does radiation shorten your life?”
I am a 48 year old male. I want to know if radiation shortens your life?

Normal exposure to diagnostic or therapeutic radiation should not shorten your life.
Too much radiation obviously can be lethal. But with the type of radiation exposure from typical medical uses the risk is quite small. The benefit of test results is far greater than the risk associated with radiation exposure. That being said, one should always try to minimize radiation exposure to only that which is really necessary.
