I have severe anxiety. Does tapering of diazapan cause worsening anxiety?

You need to be monitored closely while papering your medicines medicines and also talk about other options to address your anxiety issues
Stopping Diazepam can cause rebound anxiety because your body has developed tolerance to the medication. That is the risk of taking that medication- it causes a physical dependency (addiction). Taper very slowly and only under the supervision of your prescriber. There are other non-addicting anxiety medications, so ask if you can switch to one of these.
