If successful and it most often Id, LASIK surgery should results in perfect vision and not require glasses correction
On the contrary, the whole point of LASIK is to improve visual acuity. Around 95% of our patients have visual results that exceed 20:20, most 20/15, following our LASK.
The majority of people that have Lasik surgery have better vision after Lasik without needing glasses or contact lenses. Lasik does not correct your vision better than you could see with the best correction that glasses or contacts provided. However if complications occurred during or after Lasik, your vision may be less clear than with glasses or contact lenses prior to Lasik.
After surgery, vision will most likely be blurry but should improve in a few days. If vision is getting worse rather than better after surgery you should visit your ophthalmologist immediately.
