Double vision post Covid-19?

I tested covid-19 positive in Jan 2021 from the second wave in South Africa. I recovered at home. A few months later I started having a double vision. I went to my optician thinking I needed a new pair of glasses. My optician could not prescribe glasses as my left eye according to her was abnormal and she referred me to an ophthalmologist. He ran further eye tests in his room and his finding on my left eye was worse than that of the optician. He suggested that I have a full blood count and do an MRI scan. He called me with my results informing me that I have a blockage in the brain which could lead to a stroke or a heart attack. He also mentioned that there is no medication for it, only surgery with no guarantee. He also suggested that my optician make me glasses with prisms in the interim. To date, I have not gone for surgery as I don't want to go with that option nor have I gone back to the optician. The double vision is now really getting out of hand. I have daily challenges and it is more difficult being in an office environment. Please can you suggest what I should do? I've attached my MRI scan and blood results.

I would love to figure this out. We can draw bloods, etc. right in the hopsital here
You should consult a neurologist first before anything else. You need a complete physical exam and scans, etc to see exactly what the problem is. The double vision can be temporarily relieved by patching the worse eye. This doesn't sound like an eye problem but a vascular and/or neurological issue. Best wishes.
