OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

Drainage identification?

I'm a 47 year old female. I had discomfort which increased to awful pain and a lump under the skin between my anus and tail bone area. I used Epsom salt wet compress to get it to open and drain and give relief. I'm only on zoloft for medications. I've not had any recent surgeries or been diagnosed with anything. I had this same problem 15 months ago. I'll attach pics of what came out of the problem area. The first picture was 15 months ago and clearly can see what came out. The second pic is what came out last night. Some of the same particles but with a lot of blood. The area is about done draining now. Thank you for your advice and time! Be blessed.

I recommend for you to go to an Urgent Care to have a complete physical examination of the lesion and they can use Imaging (X-Ray and other type of imaging to make the right diagnosis. Thank you.
For a more definitive identification, a sample needs to be sent to a lab for microscopic examination. This might be a pilonidal cyst. May want to contact a surgeon.
What you describe sounds like a boil or abscess. Sometimes these are limited to the skin, but in that area of the perineum, it could be the sign of an underlying GI problem. You may want to see a PCP or GI doctor, especially if you have any symptoms like diarrhea, anemia, weight loss.
