“Even though all my tests seem normal, I am having chest pain. What could be the reason?”
I've been suffering from chest pain since 10 days ago. I underwent a complete cardiac evaluation to understand the cause. However, all the tests seemed normal. The pain is still persisting. What could be the reason for this chest pain?

There are many reasons for chest pain including heart disease, spasm of the heart arteries, spasm of the esophagus, indigestion or pain from the pulled muscle. If your cardiac work up has been negative the other causes need to be investigated. Good news is that these causes are not dangerous.

There are many causes of chest pain, these include cardiac related, digestive cause such as reflux (heartburn), stomach or esophageal ulcers, esophageal motility problems, muscular or chest wall pain, lung problems, etc. It seems like cardiac-related issues have been ruled out. Other causes need to be explored.
Not knowing more about the chest pain and assuming all the appropriate cardiac tests we performed and are negative, one could consider the chest wall or the esophagus as a possible source. Would discuss evaluations of these issues with your medical internist.
