Feeling hot during a walk?

I went on a long walk on a 94 degree day. I felt like I was overheating about 2 to 2 and a half hours in and turned around. My body felt hot all over and I wasn't sweating which I usually do. My heart was beating firmer than normal. It wasn't too rapid and the beats were normal. I've been on a lot of long walks during the summer and I know how my heart beats and it concerned me. There weren't any air conditioned buildings to enter except convenience stores which I did enter to get out of the heat. Am I overreacting, and this is simply something I could have endured, or could this have turned life threatening.

Walking in an atmosphere which is hot..and with low humidity will require constant hydration and electrolyte....replacement. Heat trapping by not sweating is risky...and can cause "heat" exhaustion....if not used to this condition by adaptation....
He should be investigated for any:
-Underlying cause
-Electrolyte imbalance
-ECG
-CBC
Are you hydrating yourself well enough? This sounds like an effect of the heat. Do you carry enough water (with electrolytes is better!) with you when you walk?
